About Time Machine
Time Machine is a daily history and geography game in the style of TimeGuessr: you get five historic photos from around the world, taken between 1900 and today. For each photo, pin where it was taken on the map and guess the year – up to 10,000 points per photo and 50,000 a day.
How to play Time Machine
Every day you get 5 historic photographs from around the world, taken between 1900 and today.
- Where? Click the map to open it large, then click where you think the photo was taken. Zoom in to see buildings and landmarks, and switch between the standard and hybrid (satellite) map.
- When? Pick the year with the slider or − / +.
- You get up to 5,000 points for the place and 5,000 points for the year – 50,000 points at most.
Zoom into the photo with the scroll wheel, by pinching or double-clicking – or use the buttons in the corner. After guessing you see where and when it was taken, and who took it. New photos every day at midnight (Danish time).

Is Time Machine free?
Yes. Time Machine is free, needs no account and works in the browser on phone, tablet and computer.
When is there a new puzzle?
Every day at midnight Danish time (CET/CEST). Everyone gets the same puzzle, so you can compare results with friends.
Where are my results saved?
Only in your own browser – there is no login. Your stats and history are under My results.

- Wo? Klicke auf die Karte, um sie groß zu öffnen, und dann dorthin, wo das Foto deiner Meinung nach entstanden ist. Zoome hinein, um Gebäude und Sehenswürdigkeiten zu sehen, und wechsle zwischen Standard- und Hybridkarte (Satellit).
- Wann? Wähle das Jahr mit dem Schieberegler oder mit − / +.
- Du bekommst bis zu 5.000 Punkte für den Ort und 5.000 Punkte für das Jahr – höchstens 50.000 Punkte.
Zoome ins Foto mit dem Mausrad, mit zwei Fingern oder per Doppelklick – oder nutze die Knöpfe in der Ecke. Nach jedem Tipp siehst du, wo und wann das Foto entstanden ist und wer es gemacht hat. Jeden Tag um Mitternacht (dänische Zeit) gibt es neue Fotos.

- Où ? Clique sur la carte pour l’ouvrir en grand, puis clique là où tu penses que la photo a été prise. Zoome pour voir les bâtiments et les monuments, et passe du plan à la vue hybride (satellite).
- Quand ? Choisis l'année avec le curseur ou avec − / +.
- Tu gagnes jusqu'à 5 000 points pour le lieu et 5 000 points pour l'année – 50 000 points au maximum.
Zoome dans la photo avec la molette, en pinçant ou par double-clic – ou utilise les boutons dans le coin. Après chaque réponse, tu vois où et quand la photo a été prise, et par qui. De nouvelles photos chaque jour à minuit (heure danoise).
